This is a poem I wrote back in 2006 and the picture my son took after I handed him the camera haaa. We celebrated the 4th of July a little late but it was fun to grill out and make dessert.

Ok so this recipe comes from the Joy of Cooking 1964 edition. It was made by my son while I did the grilling. (How's that for opposite) He loves to make pies and cobblers with a dough that is richer than the cobbler itself. The crust had a cup of heavy cream in it and is to die for. Ok so I looked for the recipe...he used two different recipes and now I have to figure out which ones. I think it is a very rich biscuit dough and then a heated fruit mix with tapioca to thicken it, it was awesome with or without vanilla ice cream.

Sounds really tasty. I don't bake myself. If I get pie or cake, its from the baker except for rare occasions every year or so.

I know it's so much work to bake or create like this and who has the time anymore. (I assure you we don't do this except for birthdays and holidays) I sent most of it home with my son as I could just look at all that cream and butter and gain five pounds.
